Edwina de Charette started La Contrie from the search for the perfect handbag. Before La Contrie, it didn't exist. 

That is how her love for leather propelled her to create La Contrie. She opened her boutique/workshop space in Rue de la Sourdière.

The brand is focused on durability and timelessness. Each bag is created in a way that is meant to last a lifetime. The concept of creating a clean-looking bag, without the frill, logos, and markings that will inevitably go out of style, is how La Contrie got its distinct look. All of the designs, from start to finish, are made my hand. The craftsmanship and quality are undeniable - what luxury truly is all about.
