ARCHIVES is an international online and in store retailer.

ARCHIVES is owned and operated by ArchivesLtd Ltd., a duly incorporated company in Canada.

ARCHIVES on-line store operates under ArchivesToronto.com.

Where the present Policy refers to “ARCHIVES,” it may refer to ARCHIVES or ArchivesToronto.com or ArchivesLtd LTD or all three, depending on the context.

Our Policy was last modified on February 10, 2017. ARCHIVES reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to modify or replace any of the Policy. It is your responsibility to check the Policy periodically for changes. Your use of the Website following the posting of any changes to the Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.

The Policy should be read in conjunction with all other Terms and Conditions, as all these documents govern your use of the Website. Where you have made a purchase, you are also governed by various policies regarding shopping, shipping, and returns.

In this Policy, a Website visitor or user may be referred to as “you.” When a Website user has created an account and is logged in, they may be referred to as a “Logged-in User.” When a Website user has made a purchase, they may be referred to as a “Client.”


General Statement of Privacy and Protection of Personal Information


ARCHIVES takes your privacy and security of personal information very seriously. We have provided a secure environment and this strict Policy describes the limited ways the information is used and the limited access to such information.


Security of Information


Where you are making a purchase on the Website, all transaction data, including credit card information, is transferred by encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”), the standard for internet transactions.


Mailing List Management


ARCHIVES uses MailChimp to manage our mailing list and send out emails. Personal Information is transferred to MailChimp in order for the mailing list to function properly. Your Personal Information is only used for the proper sending out of email; MailChimp does not use this Personal Information for any other purpose, and will not transfer or sell your Personal Information to any other third party. You may unsubscribe from ARCHIVES’ mailing list at any time, by following the link at the bottom of all ARCHIVES emails. A Logged-in User may also unsubscribe from the mailing list by adjusting their mailing list preferences on their account page.


Risks Associated with the Internet


Despite ARCHIVES' efforts to ensure third parties will not access or obtain your Personal Information through your use of the Website, complete confidentiality and security cannot currently be guaranteed on the Internet. Communication via the Internet is subject to interception, loss, or alteration. You acknowledge and agree that ARCHIVES cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from the transmission of confidential information or Personal Information over the Internet and that such communications are at your own risk.


Compliance with Privacy Laws and Anti-Spam Laws


This Policy and ARCHIVES’ practices in general are designed to be in compliance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA,” S.C. 2000, c. 5). ARCHIVES is an international online and in store retailer known for its exceptional selection of over 67 Designer Brands.

As an authorized retailer, ARCHIVES guarantees the authenticity of every product we stock. Certain items will also include the designer's own proof of authenticity.

The availability of any merchandise on the site is always subject to change. The best way to stay up-to-date on new arrivals, promotions, and sales is to sign up for our newsletter.


Currency


Pricing and currency are displayed according to the IP address of your device. If you are accessing our website from within Canada, prices will be shown in CAD.

You may change the currency by selecting the currency of your choice.


International duties and taxes


International duties and taxes are determined by the shipping address entered at checkout. If taxes and duties are included in the price of your order this will be mentioned at checkout.

Alternatively, your order may not include taxes and duties. This means your parcel may incur customs duties and taxes by your local customs office. Please consult your local customs agency for more information. If applicable, you will be required to pay such fees upon receiving your order.


Sales tax


Orders shipped outside of Canada are not subject to any sales tax. Orders shipped to:

Quebec are subject to 5% GST and 9.5% PST on the purchase amount, or a total sales tax of 14.5%.

British Columbia are subject to 5% GST.

Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick, are subject to 13% HST.

Nova Scotia are subject to 15% HST.

Any other Canadian provinces or territories are subject to 5% GST.


Checkout


You can add and remove products from your shopping bag before you checkout.

Upon checkout, you will be asked to sign into your ARCHIVES account. On the checkout page, you can enter a new address, or select an address you have previously used.

Next step is to select a shipping method, as well as enter your payment information. When you are ready to place your order, click confirm.

Shopping at ArchivesToronto.com is safe. Personal information provided on Archives.com is transmitted through a secure server using Secure Socket Layering (SSL) encryption technology. For more information, please consult the Security & Terms section.


Payment


We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

Amex and Discover cards are supported through the PayPal guest or member checkout.

Upon receiving your order, we carry out a standard pre-authorization on your payment method to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfill the transaction. We will only charge the pre-authorization when the order is packed and ready for shipment. If the billing information is incorrect or incomplete, we may contact you for confirmation before your order is shipped.


Order confirmation


You will receive an order confirmation email shortly after you place your order. Please check your junk or spam folders if it does not appear in your inbox.

Please review the order confirmation and contact us if you see any errors. You can also review the details of your order in your ArchivesToronto.com account.


Returns policy


All returns must be authorized by us before sending the merchandise back. A request for return authorization number must be submitted within 14 days of the order's delivery date.

All Earrings and Reading Glasses are final sale and not refundable.

All Sales Items are final sale and not refundable.

All fine jewellery will be sent for an independent expert appraisal upon return and before the refund is authorized, a fee of CA$30 fee will be applied for each appraisal.

The merchandise must not be worn, altered or washed. Merchandise must be returned in its original condition, and accompanied by its original tags and box. Merchandise returned damaged may be rejected and sent back to the customer at the discretion of ARCHIVES.


Original shipping fees are not refundable.


A refund will be issued back to the original method of payment for the merchandise returned. The appraisal fee and shipping cost will be deducted from the refund. We require up to 10 business days of receiving the merchandise at the ARCHIVES warehouse. Financial institutions may require additional days to process the refund before the funds are returned to the account.

The return authorization number must be clearly written on the outside of the package. Additionally, returns should be shipped with a service that provides a tracking number and insurance, as we are not responsible for delayed or lost packages.

Any returns received without a return authorization number, that do not comply with the above, or for any other reason ARCHIVES deems unacceptable, may be denied at the discretion of ARCHIVES.


Seasonal sales, new arrivals, and promotions


Signing up for our newsletter is the best way to receive updates about new arrivals, upcoming sales and promotions. You can subscribe when creating an account, or by entering your email address in the 'Newsletter Signup' section at the bottom of any page on ArchivesToronto.com.


Shipping & Shipping Fees


All shipping services used by ArchivesToronto.com provide a tracking number and full insurance. In the event that multiple orders are placed with the same shipping destination and on the same account, orders may be combined and the shipping fees will be adjusted unless otherwise requested.

Please allow up to two business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for us to process your order. Processing time is required so that we can review your order information and prepare it for shipping.

Please allow at least one business day after your order is shipped for the tracking information to appear online. If the tracking information does not update online, and the expected delivery date has passed, please contact our Customer Care team so that we can assist you further.

Returned to sender packages


If your package is not successfully delivered and is sent back to ARCHIVES by courier, we will contact you to provide you with the option of reshipment or a refund of the merchandise. The original shipping fee is not refundable.
