AESTHER EKME

The name Aesther Ekme is derived from Crimean Tartar which translates to “classic bags”. The brand focuses on minimal yet impactful designs without hardware, trims, and patterns.

Aesther Ekme focuses on high quality and accessible leather goods that do not distract or overwhelm.

The brand was founded in 2016 by Stephane Park. After completing business studies in 2007, she graduated from the fashion design program at Parsons, in New York. She later completed her masters degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2015.

She is most well-known for her work at Alexander Wang in the accessories department. In 2012, Park was awarded first place in the Coach handbag competition.

“I never set out to create an ‘it bag,” said designer Stephane Park.

“A bag shouldn’t overshadow your personal style, it should blend in seamlessly. And on its own, it should be timeless."
